Part I: Spreadsheet & Charting Test
5 Points
(Suggested time: 45 minutes)
Here is a math word problem. Use a spreadsheet (Appleworks or Excel) with its formula and charting capability to solve the problem. Your answer should show how much total income a taxi company earns from four drivers as well as the percentage of that total earned by each driver. You will chart the percent of that total each driver made.
A cab company earns $2.00 for each passenger and $1.5 for each mile.
Jim drives his 40 passengers a total distance of 100 miles.
Fred drives his 32 passengers a total distance of 150 miles.
Diane drives her 39 passengers a total distance of 200 miles.
Frank drives his 24 passengers a total distance of 210 miles.
Set up your spreadsheet to include:
Now- chart the driver names and the percentage of the total using a Pie-chart. In the pie-chart, be sure driver’s percentage is visible within the corresponding slice of the pie.
Hint: When starting part “f” it is suggested that you create a list of drivers and the percentage formulas in a separate location (still on the same spreadsheet!) from the other calculations. You want just those tow columns for part “g”. the chart.

Part II: Double Line Graph
5 points
Using NeoOffice, create a double line graph to represent two different, but related sets of data found on the Internet. For example, population will be a good data for double line graph. Populatioins - world, natiional, poverty, wealthy or male and female.

Remember every line graph should have:
1. Good Data
2. Title
3. Legend
4. Y- axis label
5. X- axis label (usually time)
6. Colors to make it interesting.
7. Website address where the information was found.
